Hi! My name is Katya, and I am the founder of Open Space, an online English language school.
I never imagined that English would become such a big part of my life that one day I would open my own school. It all started with ordinary lessons at school and endless notes during my university years. But real English revealed itself to me when it stopped being just a subject, when I started using it at work, while traveling, and in real conversations. Mistakes, new acquaintances, unexpected discoveries - since then, English has become a part of my life.
Over the years, I have gone from being a school teacher to working with international organizations as a translator and coordinator. This experience taught me not only the nuances of the language but also how important it is to understand people and their culture. All of this became the foundation of my teaching approach - practical, lively, and as close to real life as possible.
I have always believed that English isn’t about perfect rules; it’s about freedom. It broadens horizons, opens new opportunities, and brings the world closer. That’s why at Open Space, we teach English in a way that helps you use it in real life: through emotions, dialogues, context, and, most importantly, by enjoying the process.
For me, it’s important that learning isn’t just a “checkmark” on a to-do list. I want students to feel progress, believe in themselves, and see how English gradually becomes part of their lives.
Our school employs teachers who share this approach. We don’t just teach English - we help students use it confidently in real-life situations. We create a space where there is choice, support, and inspiration, where everyone can find their own pace and style.
If the idea of learning English easily, consciously, and with pleasure resonates with you - welcome to Open Space!
